Toothpaste
According to my kids, when it comes to oral care there is nothing better than the “shiny teeth!” they experience after visiting the dentist. To help keep those teeth healthy and “shiny,” twice daily brushing with good toothpaste is a must. (We also floss every night – see the Floss post!).
Over the past ten years, some harmful ingredients, like Triclosan, have stopped being used in personal care products like toothpaste (yay!). There are still a couple ingredients commonly found in toothpaste that I try to avoid:
Parabens are artificial preservatives used to extend the shelf life of personal care products. Parabens can interfere with your hormone system.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is a commonly foaming agent and can cause irritation. If you have a canker sore or sensitive gums, avoiding SLS will help reduce irritation
My favorite brand of toothpaste is hello.
Adult: hello naturally whitening farm grown mint – https://shopstyle.it/l/cpnK7

Kids: hello dragon dazzle (I think the flavor is foul but my kids LOVE it, and if it helps them brush their teeth and is clean, I’m all for it) – https://shopstyle.it/l/cpyhy

Baby/Toddler: If you have a little one who can’t spit out toothpaste after brushing, I recommend fluoride-free toothpaste. hello Kids Natural Watermelon Fluoride-Free toothpaste – https://shopstyle.it/l/cpyfa
